Jeff Patmore

Jeff is Head of Strategic University Research at BT Group (British Telecom).
An engineer with over 30 years experience in information and communications technology, Jeff has lead R&D in Internet and multimedia, cable television operations and the deployment of microwave and optical fibre communication systems.

Jeff currently leads the Strategic University Research Programme, steering the development and management of relationships and research between BT and Universities, institutions and Business Schools worldwide. Jeff’s major relationships include The University of Cambridge, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Tsinghua University in China.

His key objective is to provide the business with the knowledge, information and insight it requires to be successful as a global ICT solutions player.

Director of STEMNET for the East of England (2006-2009); Director of Young Engineers for Britain (2002-2004); Head of Internet & Multimedia Research & Development, BT Exact (1999-2003); Head of On-Line Education, Training and Health Services, BT Exact (1998-1999); Chief Technology Officer for BT Cable Television Services (1996-1998).
